The 2017 Wimbledon Championships has a lot to give to its fans. One of the grand slams, the Wimbledon Championships has finally reached to the semi-finals creating much excitement all around. Buzz was all around when two of the most promising players were thrown out of the series. Yes, it happened! Whilst it seemed till the 4th round that top seeds will be making it to the semi-finals, things totally changed on 12th July as the matches in the quarterfinals were played. Now, Nadal is not the only one who has to grief for his defeat as these players joined him in the queue. On the other hand, there was a player who was just too strong to be defeated and so reached to the semi-finals. Much disappointment came to the top seed of the tournament and the defending champion Andy Murray. British favorite and indeed a very strong contender Murray lost to the American player Sam Querrey struggling for quite a long time in sets 3–6, 6–4, 6–7(4–7), 6–1, 6–1. British fans were disheartened upon his loss.

Things didn’t go right for the Serbian machine Novak Djokovic as well. Yes, the second seed had to retire in the third set as the player faced an elbow injury. Djokovic was announced as the loser against Tomáš Berdych in sets 7–6(7–2), 2–0, retired.

While the top two seeds were to face loss, the third seed of the championships and the most favorite Roger Federer was here to stay. Yet another victory came to the 7 time champion as he beat Milos Raonic of Canada with ease in sets 6–4, 6–2, 7–6(7–4). Now, the player will be facing Tomáš Berdych in the semi-finals on 14th July.

Croatian player Marin Čilić came out as winner on 12th July as the player defeated the Luxembourgish player Gilles Müller in a long struggle, 3–6, 7–6(8–6), 7–5, 5–7, 6–1. Now, the player is all set to battle against Sam Querrey in the semi-finals.
