But still, team Delhi decided to play to its best as the team defeated Rising Pune Supergiant in the 52nd match of the 2017 IPL by 7 runs. But, Karun Nair played quite well scoring 64 runs off 45 balls on a strike rate of 142.22. Rishabh Pant and Marlon Samuels made 36 and 27 runs off 22 and 21 balls respectively. In this way, team Delhi Daredevils managed to score 168 runs on a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat of Rising Pune Supergiant took 2 wickets each. Then it was Rising Pune Supergiant’s turn to bat. Team Pune got a poor start as opening batsman Ajinkya Rahane got out scoring 0. Following the streak of Rahane, Rahul Tripathi scored only 7 runs and went back to pavilion. Manoj Tiwary scored 60 runs off 45 balls becoming the highest scorer of the team. But, the team could not manage to chase the target. Therefore, team Delhi Daredevils won the match by 7 runs.
When Delhi Daredevils Defeated Rising Pune Supergiant
It was quite crucial for Rising Pune Supergiant but the team got defeated by Delhi Daredevils by 7 runs. Delhi Daredevils played quite well. Karun Nair who scored 64 runs off 45 balls in the match was given the Player of the Match title.
