Podcast — Welcome back to another episode of the Pittsburgh Sports Castle Podcast! Today, joining host Rachael Kriger, is a special guest. Ryan James, a defender for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, joins the podcast to talk about the season and preview Saturday’s playoff match.
The Riverhounds punched their ticket to the playoffs earlier this season. Ending the regular season, the club placed second in Group F, just one point behind group winners Hartford Athletic. Now, they’ll be on the road tomorrow, taking on longtime rival Louisville City FC.
Earlier this season, the Riverhounds grabbed a big 4-1 win over Louisville.
Ryan talks about the win, preparing for the playoffs and the season as a whole. Of course, he disclosed who his funniest teammate is and the players he’s seen rise to the task, despite young ages on the roster. He also proclaimed his excitement for winning the Steel Army Player of the Year award.
