The Navy’s Blue Angels will headline the event which is set to take to the skies in August of 2018 Terre Haute, IN — After more than a decade, the Terre Haute Air Show will return. David Patterson with the Terre Haute Convention Business Bureau, says the effort to revive the Air Show started seven-months ago. Now it is expected to take to the skies by August 18th-19th of next year at the Terre Haute Regional Airport. It’s been 11-years since the last year show. “In the last years of the show, one year it was rained out and the last year we lost the money,” Patterson said of the last shows in 2005 and 2006. “Also back then the air show operated solely on the airport’s budget.” Patterson says the event has been reworked as a sponsored event which will take much of the financial burden to run the show off of the Terre Haute Regional Airport. He says as of right now, they have collected around $400,000 in sponsorships. He also says that the line up of acts they have secured will help draw many people from all over Indiana to Terre Haute.
