The Blue Angels are in town for SeaFair, and so WSDOT will close I-90 for practice and for the main air shows this week. MERCER ISLAND, WA – Like a pod of orcas or a flock of Canadian geese, the Blue Angels are making their annual return the Seattle area for SeaFair this week. That means WSDOT will be shutting down I-90 for the main SeaFair events and practice sessions. The weekend closures shouldn’t be too bad, but there is one weekday closure on Thursday. The closures will affect the stretch of I-90 between Mt. Baker in Seattle and Island Crest Way on Mercer Island.
