You may have seen some unexpected guests if you looked to the skies Wednesday afternoon. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels needed to make a pit stop for gas in Sioux Falls. “It’s not uncommon that they need to stop for fuel,” said Dan Letellier, executive director of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. The squadron is based in Florida and travels around the country for airshows. The Blue Angels were in Sioux Falls last summer for the airshow. The Blue Angels’ airshow schedule shows the squadron was in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on July 22 and 23, with its next show in Oshkosh, Wis., for a show on July 29 -30.
