Blue Angels land at EAA AirVenture

OSHKOSH (WLUK) — A main attraction at this year’s EAA AirVenture landed in Oshkosh Wednesday. The five Blue Angels planes made a brief appearance in the afternoon airshow as they arrived. However, their big performance is not until this Friday’s afternoon airshow. Click here to see a full schedule of events On Wednesday, spectators watched the F/A 18 Hornets fly overhead to land at Wittman Regional Airport. Afterward they landed, taxiing down the runway to park and refuel. It was an exciting moment for viewers and the pilots themselves. “That huge crowd and all those beautiful airplanes. It couldn’t be more special to be here. We’re thrilled,” said Commander Ryan Bernacchi. This visit will be the Blues’ inaugural AirVenture performance. Bernacchi leads the team. He told FOX 11 News this is a dream come true. “I grew up flying with my dad who was a private pilot and so that’s where it all started for me,” Bernacchi told us.
