Blue Angels Release Schedule for Next Two Years

The U.S. Navy Flight Squadron, the “Blue Angels”, released their air show schedule for 2017 and 2018 on Tuesday. During each year, the squadron will perform 66 times at 33 different locations across the country. The Blue Angels just wrapped up a 2016 season that was struck with tragedy after a training accident in Smyrna, Tenn. that led to the death of Captain Jeff Kuss in June. Despite the cancellation of shows following the accident, the squadron returned to the air and finished the 2016 season. Navy Cmdr. Frank Weisser will be taking over as the new solo #6 pilot for the 2017 season. The Blue Angels select the sites for their air shows depending objectives by the Department of Defense and to support the Armed Services across the country.
