Based on our experience with our SportsPlus customers, we have composed the most Common Mistakes Committed by the sports organizers with creating and maintaining the league schedules:
- Creating two or more schedules for one team on the same date and time.
- Not providing all required location details, including address, driving directions, parking details, public transportation options, landmarks, etc…
- When there are a large number of fields/courts in one place, not providing clear directions to the field numbers.
- Not linking the location address with a map URL, either Google or Bing or Apple maps.
- Forgetting to mention or indicating teams that fall under the home, away, or neutral.
- Not mentioning how many minutes or hours, the team members should arrive before the actual game time.
- Not including details like what uniform to wear, what additional tools or equipment to bring, etc.
- If there is an after-game event, not mentioning it clearly.
- Generating unequal match occurrences among all the teams. It means one team will play more matches compared to the rest.
- Scheduling matches between two teams having unequal competence, i.e. team from lower division or age group taking on the team from higher division or age group.
- Not giving enough time between the games, especially if the games are at different locations, and it takes time to travel from one place to the other.
- Creating multiple games on one field at the same time.
- Scheduling the games too late into the night or too early in the morning.
- Scheduling too many games for one team in one day or on the weekend.
- Scheduling games during the public holidays or the long weekend.
- Not color-coding the divisions or locations or teams, as applicable to make it easy to understand the schedules.
- Not sending a proper schedule reminder to all the team members on adding a new schedule or on making a change to an existing schedule.

- Not allowing the team members to mark their availability for a game.
- Not using the right tool to auto-generate the schedules.
- Not distributing the schedules through all possible channels, including the mobile app, website, emails, SMS, calendar sync.
- Making it hard to print the league schedules so members can keep track of the schedules.
- Making it hard to subscribe and sync with the league schedules on a calendar.
- Not instantly publishing the changes made to a calendar through all channels, including the mobile app, website, emails, SMS, calendar sync.
- Not proving on-demand instant access to the latest game results, standings, and playoff brackets
