Positioning method in Unigraphics

horizontal position
Serves to determine the horizontal distance between two points, one in solid targets desired and the other on a solid tool.
Measured along the horizontal X-axis of the Coordinate System Feature (horizontal reference). As the edges are selected,
a valid point nearest to the center will not be selected.
- Horizontal Reference
- Target Edge > End Point
- Tool Edge > Tangent Point

vertical position
Serves to determine the vertical distance between two points, one at a solid target and
the other on a solid tool. Y is measured along the vertical axis of the coordinate system feature that is perpendicular to the horizontal reference.
As the edges are selected, the closest valid point chosen for the mid-point will not be selected.
- Horizontal Reference
