Construction is under way on the fully custom Wally101, inspired by the Wallycento box-rule design. The outer carbon skin of the Wally101 hull has been completed and cured. Completion of the hull is scheduled for the end of October. At the same time, bulkheads, the keel trunk and other structures are under construction, and the engineering of the auxiliary systems is in progress. The rig engineering is due to be shipped at the end of 2022, with the new yacht on schedule for delivery in May 2023.
The larger Wally130 and Wally150 are being developed to complete the visionary brand’s range of new supersailers. Custom features and a range of keel and equipment choices will be available.
“Wally’s new sailing projects aim to reach new levels of cruising convenience, thanks to redesigned cockpit areas and interior. The 110 has great volumes thanks to a raised saloon, while the flush deck hides the cockpits that are recessed below the sheerline. These are three times bigger than traditional ones and also safer, due to their depth. The larger 130 and 150 boast extra features, such as the comfort of a sleek deckhouse, a private owner’s cockpit aft and ample tender storage,” says Luca Bassani, Wally Founder and Chief Designer.
