Battle Ready: A First Look At The Nike Special Field Air Force 1

In my opinion, the Nike Air Force 1 model has always had that tough and rugged aesthetic to them. They were definitely a shoe that were built to last. With that being said it makes sense to see that the AF1 is the inspiration behind the shoe you see above. Introducing the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 (Nike SFAF-1).

Previously on display at the Nike SNKRS Out The Box exhibit at the Yo’Hood show in Shanghai, the Nike SFAF-1 utilizes military-grade materials and places them on the classic Nike basketball sneaker. The shoe comes with an SFB-infused upper made out of a premium leather and extra-durable ballistic nylon. It also comes equipped with a paracord ankle strap that also serves as a handle for a matching bag that also comes with this NikeLab release. The Black upper is offset nicely by the Gum colored sole unit. Designed by Nike Sportswear footwear designer Ben Kirschner, you can expect to see the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 releasing in November for $180. Check out the deatiled images above courtesy of Sneakernews.

Author’s Take

The inspiration is spot on. Would I wear? Probably not? Would I cop, maybe. This is a dope piece to have in your collection. Serves as a nice conversation starter as well.
