Drone Journalism Now Can Take Off

Drone enthusiasts have been studying the FAA rules and making plans. Journalism professor Matt Waite runs the Drone Journalism Lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Earlier this month, the lab hosted a three-day drone journalism boot camp. With 60 slots available, the program sold out.

There seems to be so many restrictions on drones that it’s hard to see how they might be usable. Amazon and other companies keep touting delivery services by drones, but how they’re going to navigate the myriad of regulations is beyond me.
