The Baseball draft resumes today and there is a lot of soccer news

It is a big week for Nebraska baseball.

It is also time for the major league baseball draft. The first round was held yesterday and while there were predictions that Spencer Schwellenbach may hear his name called, that did not happen. We’ll be watching to see where he lands and will keep you updated.

Other Huskers or prospective Huskers also will be waiting to hear their name called. For some, they will land in a good enough spot to either not return for another season or forgo college baseball altogether. The draft can really mess with a college baseball coach’s recruiting and roster management.

Hopefully, our beloved Huskers are able to keep as much talent as possible.

In other news, a chalk drawing in England with a rather famous, uh, feature has received renewed attention. After years of trying to figure out how old this particular drawing is, scientists turned to shells found in the oldest layers.
