This came as a bit of a surprise to me, as I assumed most fans would’ve swallowed their pride and accepted the betting-favorite Houston Texans as the likeliest 2024 AFC South winner.
The Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans could also be a threat if their respective quarterbacks make a bigger sophomore leap than expected. However — as our survey respondents know, given just 13% of voters expect the Jags to finish first or second — the division is a two-horse race between Jacksonville and Houston.
The Jaguars will face DeMeco Ryans, C.J. Stroud, Will Anderson and company in Weeks 4 and 13. The latter game will be played at EverBank Field with the good guys fresh off their Week 12 bye. You can find more information on the Jaguars’ 2024 schedule release here.
