Jaguars vs. Texans fantasy football picks, lineups, and more

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars showed us last Sunday that their offense might actually have a few playmakers on their team. That side of the ball was thought to be what’s holding this team back, but that wasn’t the case against the Kansas City Chiefs and there might be a few players who could make great additions to your DraftKings lineup or worth a waiver claim for your home league team at ESPN, Yahoo, and more.

According to Action Network, the consensus over/under is around 43.5 points and the line is at -9 in favor of the Texans, so Vegas believes the score to be around 27-17 in favor of the Texans. There will only be a few players worthy of a pickup, but based on what we saw in Week 1, here are the players who we think that will be.

WR Chris Conley

Pick your poison when it comes to going between him and DJ Chark — Chark led in yards with a big 69-Yard catch to boost his numbers but Conley was the leader in targets and receptions last week when Gardner Minshew came in. Chark provides big play ability but Conley will get the most opportunities I think, and at a $4,200 price tag on DraftKings he could help you go for a top tier player at another position. He’s also available in over 90 percent of home leagues at ESPN and Yahoo and I think he’s definitely worth at least a spot on your bench, if not a WR3 or FLEX play when the matchup and bye weeks demand it.

Fantasy projection: 7 catches, 90 yards, 1 touchdown

RB Leonard Fournette

Fournette is a dying breed of true bell-cow backs in the NFL and I will always lean in the direction of opportunities. He was given 17 touches — which included four catches — in a game that the team had to get away from the run early. I think it will be a bit closer this week, so look for him to finish with far more touches. He’s only $6,300 on DraftKings, which is outside the top 10, but he’ll finish the week above that in share of touches in Week 2.

Fantasy projection: 24 rushes, 4 catches, 130 total yards, 1 touchdown

QB Gardner Minshew

He’s on just 0.1% of rosters in ESPN and Yahoo and is one of the cheapest starting quarterbacks on DraftKings ($4,800). He will regress from last week, but I still think he’ll overperform his price tag.

Fantasy projection: 260 total yards, 2 touchdowns
