Best of luck to England centre Emily Scarrett who sustained a broken leg while playing for Loughborough Lightning vs Harlequins on Sunday.
Scarrett will now miss England’s four November internationals vs New Zealand (x2) USA and Canada.
There is little doubt that Scarrett’s 96 caps worth of experience, not to mention her try-scoring and goal-kicking prowess, will be sorely missed by England, not least against the formidable Black Ferns.
Still, having had successful surgery, hopefully a swift recovery will follow and the former World Player of the Year will be fit and firing for next year’s postponed World Cup.
