Alfa Romeo Announces New Quadrifoglio Badge to Mark 100th Anniversary

Alfa Romeo’s Quadrifoglio models offer the brand’s best performance, and the storied nameplate celebrates 100 years in 2023. To celebrate, Alfa redesigned the iconic Quadrifoglio badge with commemorative dates and updated colors. The automaker is also planning a party on June 25 to celebrate Quadrifoglio day, with a parade and flash mob open to Alfa Romeo clubs.

The new badge adds a gold triangle around the iconic four-leaf clover, and the “1923-2023” dates are printed at the bottom. Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models get the badges on the front quarter panels, and Alfa's images don’t show a dramatic departure from the previous logo.

Alfa said the first car to wear the badge was the RL Corsa race car in 1923. It showed up again in 1925 and helped differentiate Alfa’s race cars from those of parent company Scuderia Ferrari. Starting in the 1960s, the automaker began using the badge on road cars, including the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce and now the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV.

At the same time, Alfa’s racing department, Autodelta, is turning 60 this year. The shop helped Alfa Romeo achieve great success in the 1960s and 1970s, and its new logo combines its long-running checkered flag incorporated in a stylized “60”. The Italian flag and “1963-2023” dates complete the new look.
