Argentina may have qualified for the next round of the World Cup, but behind the scenes, all appears not to be well.
In the last few years they have been problems with the Argentina Football Association (AFA). But now there seems to be issues with Jorge Sampaoli and his own players.
Alarm bells rang out when in a post-match interview, Sergio Aguero appeared to take a jab at Sampaoli after their loss to Croatia.
And then they were reports of the senior players requesting to meet with the AFA officials before the game against Nigeria.
More signs emerged when Messi was seen giving a team talk in the tunnel just before the second half with pundits wondering if Sampaoli had not spoken well with his players in the dressing room.
Is Sampaoli still in charge?
The recent video clip has drown doubts over Sampaoli’s authority in the team as he was seen taking permission from Messi to bring on Sergio Aguero with the score at 1-1.
Sampaoli asked: “Do I put on Kun?”
Messi’s response hard to tell given that his back is turned to the camera.
