Medical report reveals more about Sergio Busquets’ injury

There were a lot of reasons for Ernesto Valverde and the Barcelona fans to be happy for during their game with Chelsea at the Camp Nou.

The team was really clinical in front of the Chelsea goal, and everything seemed to work out just fine in their attack that lead to a 3-0 scoreline.

But setback from the game was the injury to Sergio Busquets who damaged his toe.

A Medical Report from Barcelona have confirmed the injury and the player has been ruled out for three weeks.

Barcelona said:

Medical tests have confirmed that FC Barcelona player Sergio Busquets has suffered a fractured phalanx of the fifth toe of his right foot, with a wound.

He is expected to be out of action for approximately 3 weeks.

Andre Gomes came on to replace Busquets in the 61st minute of the game.

Barcelona were 2-0 up at the time but needed to keep a clear head as a goal from Chelsea could have seriously changed the dynamics of the game.

Busquets has featured in 41 games so far this season, the majority as part of the starting XI.
