Big inclusions as Valverde announces Barcelona squad vs Espanyol (Cup quarter-final)

Barcelona have held their final training session and are fully ready for the return-leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final clash against Espanyol today.

Ernesto Valverde’s team welcomes city rivals Espanyol to the Camp Nou and are hoping to overturn their first-leg 1-0 defeat.

Seeing the task at hand, it was no surprise to see El Txinguirri announce a very strong team for the game. Earlier, Andres Iniesta, Paco Alcacer and Philippe Coutinho had all received the medical clearance to play.

And the match-day squad saw the inclusion of all three players. Another big name that made the list was Yerry Mina who like Coutinho, is yet to make his debut.

Thomas Vermaelen and Ousmane Dembélé are still battling to regain fitness, while Valverde has opted to leave out the names of both Gerard Deulofeu and Denis Suárez.

The full list is therefore as follows: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, Luis Suárez, Messi, Coutinho, Paulinho, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, Roberto, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal, Umtiti and Yerry Mina.
