Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain have been making moves on each other all summer. It all began with Barcelona who wanted Marco Verratti, before a counter-attack from PSG who are gunning for Neymar.
But today has seen both teams make a curious and unexpected announcement.
According to Jonathan Johnson, an English Journalist based in France and a correspondent for PSG, the French club and Barcelona have announced press conferences just one hour apart.
Paris Saint Germain announced a press conference for 23h00 France time.
According to PSG’s official website, there will be a press conference later today in Miami. 17h00 local time, so 23h00 here in France… pic.twitter.com/VXKUGwxk4b

And 30 minutes later, Barcelona would also be holding a press conference. And it gets even weirder when you realize Gerard Pique would be in attendance.
Pique was the player who openly announced that Neymar was staying at Barcelona, prompting fans to wonder if the press conferences could be related to the Neymar transfer story.
Barcelona are reportedly set to hold their own press conference at 23h30 French time featuring Gerard Pique. https://t.co/Oi4JzOQYmi

Pre-Match press conference?
PSG play Juventus as part of their International Champions Cup fixtures, while Barcelona also face Manchester United in Washington. Both games are on Thursday and many are putting off the press conferences as just a pre-match ritual.
Could also be a pre-Juventus press conference. It just makes little sense with no chance to win ICC & Neymar hype at an all-time high.
