This summer has been really eventful for Europe’s finest players and some of them took time to make one of the most important decisions in their lives- marriage.
For Barcelona, they would have two newly weds in the team. Messi was the first to tie the knot with Antonella at a lavish Ceremony in Rosario, and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has followed suit.
The Germany international took time out to wed long-term partner Daniela Jehle at a small ceremony in Sitges.
They have been dating since 2012, with Jehle moving to Barcelona alongside ter Stegen following his 2014 transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach, with Jehle continuing her architectural studies in Spain.
Ter Stegen announced the wedding date on his Facebook page in February, writing “The biggest dream I have at the moment is fulfilled in the summer: I will marry my fiance.”
And picture posts in May suggested they had gotten married. But in the last hours, pictures have emerged hinting the ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 11th.
She shared the picture above and wrote: “I’m speechless about the most magical wedding I could have ever dreamed of.”
“Thank you to our families, friends and every single person who made those days special.”
“This must be a dream ❤️ To the love of my life: This is only the beginning of our love story, now let’s write the next chapters! I love you”
And Ter Stegen also wrote: “Moments I’ll keep deep in my heart and which I’ll never forget. You looked so beautiful in your wedding dress and I’m the happiest man having you always by my side. You’re the love of my life and I promise to always be there for you.”
