One of the many players linked to Barcelona over the last weeks has been Paulinho.
The Brazilian currently plies his trade in the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou Evergrande. The 28-year-old left Europe for Asia after a disappointing time at Tottenham.

He spent two seasons at White Hart Lane was far from impressive. He struggled to hit top form, scoring just 6 goals in seasons and eventually left for Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015.
As expected, fellow Brazilian, Neymar has said his country man is needed at the Camp Nou. First was for him to have another friend in the team and then to improve Barcelona’s chances of winning.
Neymar said: “Paulinho is a friend that I have in football and I want him to play at Barcelona.”
“Because with a player like him, who is a friend too, we are going to win a lot.”
Guangzhou rejects Barcelona’s first offer.
Barcelona have seen an initial bid of between 20 to 25 million euros rejected.
A statement from the club said: “Paulinho only signed a contract renewal in January 2017 and is an important part of the club’s long-term future.”
“For that reason, the club has formally rejected Barcelona’s Offer for him. We want to express our gratitude to Barcelona for holding him in such high esteem, but we don’t have any plans to sell the midfielder.”
