Alexis Sanchez’s future at the Emirates has always been doubtful since he turned down a new deal. But the Chilean has been a standout player for the Gunner and one of Wenger’s best players.
Along with another contract rebel Ozil, Wenger has continued to maintain they were staying. Their contract is up in June 2018 and transfer stories have been flooding in.
Sanchez was initially linked with a big move to Bayern Munich. But the latest report from Chile is very disheartening to the Arsenal fans.
Much-respected Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta dropped the bombshell that Guardiola has won the race to sign the forward.
Should the deal be sealed, Sanchez would join players Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and Bacary Sagna who have joined Manchester City from Arsenal.
Arsenal have been the joke of the internet since the news broke.
