Neymar has been incredible for Barcelona this season and has lived up to expectations. He has been a constant threat for the opposition and most importantly has stood out in big matches.

The game against PSG more than four weeks ago, gave fan a taste of what they have in the 25-year-old. He is widely regarded as the heir to the throne when Messi and Ronaldo are gone, and he is definitely on the right path.

But his fellow Brazilian legend Ronaldinho thinks his time has already come for him to be the best.

Ronaldinho says its time for Neymar to be the best

Ronaldinho who is now Barcelona’s club ambassador, was quoted as saying: “It’s beautiful to watch how Neymar has grown.”

“We had Romario, then Ronaldo, Rivaldo and me, and now it’s his turn . I do not think it’s late to be the best player on the planet, he’s already one of the best and now it’s only a matter of time. ”

Brazil have already qualified for the2018 World Cup in Russia. And having won football’s most coveted team trophy in 2002, Ronaldinho is optimistic of Brazil’s chances.

He added: “You have to take things slowly. We know that there is a long way to go, and everything now is more difficult.”

“The team needs our support and not pressure. I was in that situation in 2006 with the national team. The team was good and was expecting great things and did not have the expected successes.”

Ronaldinho has received the honorary citizenship of Rio de Janeiro.
