After making a world record swoop for Paul Pogba this transfer window, Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has set his sights on Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann for the next summer [Mirror].
Mourinho seems to want to make an irresistible offer to get the Best Player in Europe contender out of the La Liga and into the Premier League, with Champions League football and something similar to the Paul Pogba bid, Antoine might just be in the line to become the next most expensive player.
Jose Mourinho believes that Antoine would be a sensation in the Premier League, which would explain his interest in him since his time in charge at Chelsea. Despite not being quite physically strong, Griezmann’s ability is unmatched, in fact, he seems to be a perfect fit for the Premier League if we consider Mahrez and his physicality, and given his hard working nature, there isn’t a lot that could go wrong if the transfer goes through.
History says that Atletico would sell provided the right offer is made and Jose must be careful of the fact that other big Premier League clubs like rivals Manchester City could make a similarly impressive bid for the Frenchman.
All in all, if it does go through, this transfer could help Manchester United in the attacking sector once Zlatan is gone two years later (apparently).
