George Mason Continues to roll in conference play and took down the St. Bonaventure last night 75-66 off an impressive shooting display. They hit 15 three-pointers with D’Shawn Schwartz finishing with 20 points and DeVon Cooper with 18. They forced a lot of Bonnie’s turnovers in the first half and capitalized to build a large lead. They ended up never trailing in the game despite a few runs by the Bonnies. Josh Oduro had some big baskets inside to help seal the win for Mason.

Mason again played their starters heavy with really only Ronny Polite coming in off the bench. They continue to also rely on three-point shooting from Cooper and Schwartz which was impressive last night. Defensively they were able to clamp down when they needed also holding the Bonnies to under 33% shooting in the second half and only three three-pointers. Kim English has them playing with an edge and hopefully this Continues to roll.

They have now beaten two of the better teams in the conference but the question is can they keep this up. There’s a lot of hard battles yet to be played and they will have to win on the road to stay atop the Atlantic 10 standings. They will also need to stay healthy as losing any starter would be devastating at this point in the season. They should continue to be dangerous if they keep playing with this confidence, you have love with English is doing with this group.
