Justyn Fernandez commits to George Mason, a big time get for Kim English and the program

2022 combo guard and highly touted recruit Justyn Fernandez has committed to Kim English and George Mason. The 6’5″ Richmond, Virginia native has been a main target of English and his staff since his arrival to Fairfax. Fernandez had his second official visit to Mason on September 10-12 which probably sealed the deal on his commitment. He chose George Mason over Florida, Providence, Wake Forest, Boston College, NC State, Clemson, VA Tech and others. He joins point guard Devin Dinkins, his former AAU teammate (DC Premier), in Mason’s 2022 recruiting class.

It’s program-changing kind of recruit and he’s one of the highest rated ones to ever commit to George Mason. A major win for the English on the recruiting trails that will most likely pay dividends in terms of making the program relevant again on the nation scene. Fernandez has been listed in numerous ‘Top 100’ recruiting ranking for the 2022 class and is a census four-star player across the sites. He has excellent size for the position and attacks the paint with ease.

His trademark hair will look great flowing down the court in green and gold for years to come.
