To the surprise of probably no one, sophomore guard Jason Douglas-Stanley is transferring as per his instagram:

JDS was supposed to be an athletic three-point shooter, something Mason definitely needed but it just never seemed to pan out. He didn’t seem to be able to get off the bench and work in Dave Paulsen’s system. A shame because it seems like he has a ton of potential but he failed to really show any offense when given chances on the court. He appeared in 39 games and averaged 1.6 PPG in his career at Mason.

The roster spot is definitely needed with the chance that senior Justin Kier gets a redshirt waiver from the NCAA and returns for next season.
