George Mason narrowly escaped last place Saint Joseph’s at the annual homecoming game in front of a crowd of just under 6,000. SJU has been pretty awful this season but Mason somehow found a way to make it a game. Javon Greene scored 20 points to help ensure Mason walked away with this one. He and Jamal Hartwell had a been than average day shooting from behind the three-point line that definitely made the different in the second half.
One of the positives this season has been to see the progression of AJ Wilson, who finished with 13 points, 4 blocks, and 6 rebounds. The kid continues to battle on this season and it will be fun to see him against Dayton tomorrow, hopefully.
