Another 30+ point game for Javon Greene (32 points) last night as George Mason picks up their 2nd Conference Win over UMass. Jamal Hartwell was held out again so Mason was rolling with an 8-man lineup. They got good contributions from freshman Josh Oduro up front and were able to overcome 3-for-13 shooting on three-pointers. Defensively they held their own in the second half as UMass had early success shooting the ball in this game.
The second conference win was important to help them secure being out of the bottom four in the A-10. They now face a much toughen schedule with five of their next seven games on the road. 29 free throw attempts certainly helped them overcome UMass and they will need a similar approach on the road at Davidson and St. Bonaventure.
