LIVERPOOL EDGE CLOSER TO SALAH SIGNING

Liverpool's pursuit of Roma winger Momo Salah moved a step closer with their chairman confirming that a bid had been received from Liverpool upwards of £35 million with add-ons of a further £4 million depending on appearances.

Salah, 24, who struggled to make an impact during a disastrous spell at Chelsea, has turned his career around in Italy and scored 19 goals in 41 appearances for Roma in all competitions this season.

Roma sources confirmed interest from the Premier League, stating: ‘It’s true there is interest in Salah from an English club, there is an offer, but we set the price and we decide if we sell at that price.’
Roma had a very good Season in Italy finishing second to Juventus and above Napoli in the final standings, they are in the Champion's League Group stages for the 2017/18 campaign.

So they have no reason to sell any of their players, but if Liverpool play ball and pay the required fee to Roma for the Egyptian who has already agreed a £90,000 deal at Liverpool, then it should happen over the next few weeks.

Lets hope it's the first of many new signings for Klopp and Liverpool where squad depth must be addressed this term.
