The New England Patriots will always seize situation when opportunity is on the table to acquire a player important to the team’s cause. New England has loved to signed veteran players that could eventually help Tom Brady and the offense. Way back in 2004, Corey Dillon was grabbed from the Cincinnati Bengals to make the Patriots win the Super Bowl. Randy Moss as brought to New England also.
ESPN staff writer Jeremy Fowler writes:
“Free agent running back Arian Foster expects to be healthy for 2016 training camp and is ‘hungry’ to regain his 2012 form, according to a source close to the former Houston Texan.”
NFL Rumors are swirling around about the possibility of Arian Foster playing with Tom Brady for the upcoming season. Foster was acquired by the Houston Texans in 2009 as an undrafted free agent. He flourished in the next three years by hitting the 1,000-yard mark (1,616 yards in 2010, 1,224 yards in 2011 and 1,424 yards in 2012). Foster played only eight games in 2013 because of injury but his numbers went back in 2014 with 1,246 yards in 13 games.
Foster is trying to return from a torn Achilles incurred in late October of 2015. Foster remains to be a free agent and probably there’s not a team willing to sign him because of health.
The All-Pro Running back is reportedly spotted in Boston. However, the running back visit in New England was not about meeting with the Patriots. Jason Cole tweeted that the Patriots interest with the running back is “preliminary”.

Surely, the New England Patriots are aiming for a running back that could eventually help the offensive attacks. While Brady is the best in the business when it comes to air attack, the Patriots want a running game to balance the offense.
NFL Insider for CBSSports.com Jason La Canfora reported that Arian Foster is progressing well.

It would be interesting to find out in the coming days if the Patriots are willing to take Foster, knowing that his body is already filled with heavy loads.
