Teresa Giudice Legal issues or bankruptcy

Joe and Teresa declared bankruptcy in 2009. They stated in their statement that they owed more than $11 million, and as a result, they had to auction off a lot of their belongings and list their property for sale. Joe and Teresa were both charged with 39 charges of conspiracy to conduct bank fraud, wire fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and making false representations on loan applications when they were both indicted in July 2013. The following month, they entered a not guilty plea.

The Giudices struck a deal with federal prosecutors and pleaded guilty to 41 charges of fraud in March 2014. Although Joe’s family moved from Italy to the U.S. when he was just a year old, he never formally became an American citizen. Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice and Teresa got married on October 23, 1999, and on January 8, 2001, Gia, their first child, was born.
