The first episode of Welcome to Eden premiered on Netflix on May 6, and viewers have been hooked ever since. The Spanish thriller, directed by Joaquin Gorriz and written by Guillermo Lopez, centers on a group of young people who are invited to an exclusive party on a tropical island to celebrate the launch of a new beverage brand. While it initially appears to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the teens soon discover that they’ve all been kidnapped and taken to a remote island where they’ll face dire consequences if they don’t get out in time. Season one left us with some tense cliffhangers, making us eager for the next one to come out. However, are there any future plans for this story? What Did Will happen In The Second Season Of Eden? 

During the tense season one finale, viewers saw Zoa and Charly use the arrival of the new recruits as a distraction to attempt to flee the island. The new teens, like Zoa’s group, had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Zoe was caught by Ulises as soon as Charly made it onto the boat, and he proceeded to attack her as a form of punishment for attempting to flee. Fortunately, Ibón stepped in to save Zoa and killed Ulises in the process. The death of Ulises raises the question of how Ibón’s character will be developed in the upcoming season, given that this was something completely out of character for him.

Astrid and Erick’s house had a secret room full of technology that Africa accidentally activated a satellite in by pressing a button on one of the panels. Frida was trapped inside when the alarms went off and the doors were shut. Season one was filled with shocking revelations and suspense, culminating in a shocking twist at the end. A glimpse of Gabi on her way to the island caught Zoa’s attention as she was about to board the boat that would take her to freedom as well. After following Gabi’s search for answers about what happened to her sister throughout the season, it appears that she has joined the island’s newest residents. Will Zoa board the ship, or will she return to her sister’s side? What is the significance of the message sent into space? What will happen to frica? And last but not least, what is the Eden Foundation’s true nature? I’m hoping that season three will provide satisfactory answers to all of the above concerns.

Official news about the future of Welcome to Eden and a possible second season has not been made public as of May 20, 2022. That said, there’s a good chance that the many questions left unanswered by the season-one finale will be answered because the show’s writers have plans for future seasons. This time next year, we hope to learn more about what happened on the island in May 2023 if the show is resurrected for a second season. Before deciding whether or not to renew a show, Netflix typically gives it 28 days to generate interest and show a positive return on investment (though their decisions have been a lot more abrupt and reversible lately).
