Season 2 Of Tokyo Ravens – Renewed Or Canceled?

Because the first season was so popular, viewers have wondered why there hasn’t been a second one. It’s not uncommon for anime series to be based on previously published works of fiction. For a new season of anime, it is essential to have a large number of source materials available.

Here we go: It’s highly unlikely that Tokyo Ravens season 2 will be released. Numerous options exist in this situation. Even though no official announcement has been made, everyone is still eagerly awaiting the news. There has also been no official word on the future of the show. Is There A Plot Summary For Tokyo Ravens Out There?

There are demonic forces at work in Tokyo after a religious ceremony goes wrong. So, the Onmyoujis have been given the task of exterminating the town’s ethereal inhabitants. Onmyoujis are people who can see spirits and control their spiritual powers. Schools for Onmyoujis opened up in the wake of the Tokyo disaster.

Despite his inability to perceive spiritual energy, the protagonist, Tsuchimikado Harutora, is a grounded Onmyouji. Because of his disability, he seeks solace in nature with his friends to cope with life in the city.

To Natsume’s childhood friend, Harutora was an Onmyouji, but she refuses to be one. He can’t keep the promise he made as a child because of his lack of spiritual ability. For the other family member who heads to Tokyo to learn the Onmyouji art, Natsume, who has been dubbed a “genius,” is their responsibility.

Although Harutora tries to avoid being Onmyouji, he must accept his fate. Natsume’s promise and the tragic loss of his best friend force him into a decision to move to Tokyo and enroll in a well-known university. To avenge Tokyo’s 12 Heaven Generals, Harutora and Natsume form a partnership.

Will There Be A Second Season Of Tokyo Ravens?

As of December 3, 2021, neither the Eight Bit studio nor the light novel/manga publishers had renewed the anime for a second season. The likelihood of a second season has decreased with time, but it is not impossible. After all, despite lengthy breaks, many anime series have been renewed for a second season.

The Tokyo Ravens’ creative studio, Eight Bit, is still in business today. There has recently been approved for the second season of the anime adaptation of Fuse’s light novel “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.”

The committee that decides whether or not an anime series will be renewed pays close attention to a few key factors. Because anime is a commercial endeavor, its popularity and disc sales are extremely important. This season’s selection will be influenced by the availability of light novel source material. Based on these facts, we were able to make some educated guesses about the second season.

Novels That Aren’t Too Heavy

After a run that lasted from May 20, 2010, to October 20, 2018, the Kihei Azzano and Sumihei light novel series are no longer being released in print. There are a total of twenty-four volumes in the series, including four bonus volumes. In the first season of the anime, the first nine volumes of the main series were adapted. There are still seven volumes of the primary source material, as far as I can tell.

Though 24 episodes may not be feasible, it’s still possible to put together a 12-episode first season. Because the show was completed years ago, a new season of an anime won’t do much to improve light novel sales.

End Lines

In some cases, even though a show’s current popularity isn’t high enough, it gets a second season anyway. In the world of anime, there’s always something new to learn and experience. Existing stock material could be used to create a new 12-episode season of the light novel.

In 2023, if there is a renewal, there could be a new season. Although it is possible, the chances of this happening are extremely low, and the need for renewal first is essential. Both The God of High School and Noragami are great examples of anime that are stylistically similar to each other. We’ll update this post with official confirmation as soon as we get it.
