About the Lupins Series-
Lupins is a criminal, suspense, and mystery drama based on Arsene Lupin, a novel by Maurice Leblance. The series’ directors are Louis Leterrier and Marcela Said, and the writers are George Kay, Francois Uzan, Eliane Montane, and Sumerah Srivastav, with Omar Sy as the main character.
For both seasons, the series was released in its original language of French. On Netflix, each season contains 5 episodes with a run time of 40 to 52 minutes per episode. The producing company behind the release of this series on Netflix’s original network is Gaumont Television.
The first episode of the series aired on January 8, 2021, and the show is set to return in the new year with a new season.
The storey follows Assane Diop (Omar Sy), who is inspired by a book handed to him by his father when he was a teenager. The storey follows the exploits of master thief Arsene Lupin.
Assane moved to France with his father, who wanted to provide a better life for him and his son, but unfortunately, his father was arrested for stealing an expensive diamond from his employer’s wife and was imprisoned, where Assane’s father decided to hang himself out of shame because he didn’t commit the theft, and it was all a plot by a wealthy and powerful man named Hubert Pellergrini.
Assane believes his father is a robber since he was a child, but after learning 25 years later that everything was part of the Pellegrini family’s plot, he intends to exact revenge on Hubert Pellegrini for his father’s death.
He now wished to reveal all of Pellegrini’s crimes and business dealings, having been inspired by a book given to him by his father on his birthday when he was a tiny boy who possessed a mastery of theft and charisma.
