CIBAC Party-list supporters launch a provincewide campaign in Pangasinan

Bayambang, Pangasinan – More than 1,200 volunteers from the 44 munipalities and four cities joined in one accord in launching the Cibac party-list campaign in the province.

Art Villafania, CIBAC provincial president on political affairs, profoundly explained the necessity of having three seats in the house of representatives this time around as satanic bills are scampering in the lower house. Villafania encouraged the volunteers to do whatever they can to mobilize their loved ones, friends and networks to not only to vote but to campaign for the party-list.

On the other other hand, Wilfredo Mendoza, CIBAC provincial chairman, clearly expounded one of the reasons to gain more seats to fight proposed “DEATH” bills which promote Divorce, Euthanasia, Abortion, Total Reproductive Health, Homosexuality (same sex marriage). Danny Caranto, CIBAC political strategist and district coordinator, laid down plans as well as goals in the next two months.

Who are the CIBAC nominees?

Evangelist Bro. Eddie Villanueva of the Jesus is Lord (JIL) movement is the first nominee of the party-list group Citizens Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) that he founded.

CIBAC had produced several congressmen in the past, Senator Joel Villanueva (who also served as head of the Techical Education and Skills Development Authority during the Aquino administration), lawyers Sherwin Tugna and Cinchona Gonzales and Kim Bernardo-Lokin, a former newscaster of ABS-CBN.

CIBAC’s current second nominee is Domingo Rivera, third nominee is lawyer Lyndon Caña, fourth nominee is lawyer Armi Jane Borje, while fifth is Stanley Clyde Flores.

In the current 17th Congress, CIBAC party-List had authored and co-authored 131 bills and resolutions, with 11 bills enacted into law.

Among the priority measures of CIBAC were: Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Information and Education Act, Barangay Anti-Hakot Bill and Freedom of Information Act.

CIBAC was also instrumental in the passage of the Anti-Red Tape Act, Government Procurement Reform Act and Ease of Doing Business Act.

CIBAC has been represented in the House of Representatives since the 12th Congress in 2001 up to the present.

Why the need for CIBAC Party-list?
