Broncos safety Omar Bolden suffers a partially teared PCL, and is done for the year

It's been a tough year for Bolden.

According to multiple sources out of Denver, Broncos safety/returner Omar Bolden suffered a grade 2 PCL sprain and is out for the rest of the postseason. Bolden will not require surgery to repair this.

#broncos Omar Bolden told me he suffered grade 2 PCL sprain. He's out for season. He's a good man. Dealt w foot, hamstring and knee issues

It has been a tough year for Bolden, he has dealt with foot, hamstring, and knee injuries all season. Bolden has only played in 9 games this season, but what was slowed down because of these injuries.

The Broncos were hoping that Bolden could stay healthy throughout the postseason so he could provide a spark in the return game for them. He did have a couple big returns for the Broncos, but unfortunately, he suffered this knee injury while covering a punt.

Wide receiver Jordan Norwood stepped up and took over punt return duties in Bolden's absence. I would expect that to continue this weekend against the New England Patriots. Recently acquired safety Shiloh Keo will have to step up again and be the Broncos fourth safety with Bolden being out. He was inactive for the Divisional round game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Omar Bolden will be an unrestricted free agent when the season ends.
