The Denver Broncos and every other NFL football team face many challenges this year in this covid-19 plagued world. No preseason games and shortened time with less contact at training camp could mean more injuries this season.

We’re all ramping up for actual NFL action with the first game coming tomorrow night. And even before the Broncos season gets started, we’ve lost our franchise player in Von Miller. I can’t even begin to tell you how hyped I’ve gotten this offseason seeing and hearing about what Von has been doing in preparation for this season.

Let’s start by wishing Von a speedy and full recovery. I sincerely hope he gets another shot next season.

Mile High Report has been musing quite often about just how much the injury bug is going to hit players this season and I just want to make sure our fan base is prepared. You know how much flak we give the Chargers year after year for how many starters get injured? That’s very likely to be every team in the NFL this year.

I expect an abnormally high number of pulled hamstrings and other various sprain injuries. Hopefully I’m wrong as I know we all want to see the best players in the world out there bringing the wood on the field.
