Sundays without the Broncos or NFL are excruciating

Thankfully, we’re less than three weeks to the start of free agency.

Good morning, Broncos Country!

As I sit here and contemplate what the heck to write about, it hits me in a flash like your need to use the toilet after you eat Taco Bell. Sundays without the Denver Broncos and NFL blow.

Then you look at the calendar and get more depressed. This is only the second Sunday? Really? Could have sworn it was 22. Nope, as much as you want to hope that it’s been more, it’s only two, and we have 23 more to go.

Sundays don’t just suck because there’s no football, but because your significant other gets their revenge. I don’t know how other households function, but my wife now controls the TV. That means either HGTV or shows like "Project Runway" ... on a continuous loop. But I do love when Nina Garcia tears into a designer’s masterpiece. Hold up, see what happens when there’s no football?

At least my wife is happy, and as we all know, "Happy wife, happy life." The other benefit is at least with so much HGTV on, you can’t get stressed or upset at the world, save for "Tiny Home" buyers who seemed shocked they don’t have a lot of space when they get inside the tiny home.

What keeps me sane is that we are less than three weeks to the start of free agency. Come March 9, John Elway and the Broncos will continue to add the pieces to put the 2017 puzzle together. Then I remember March 9 is a Thursday and, well, that’s when "Project Runway" is on. Here’s hoping I get to control the remote.
