Giants’ roster moves: Grant Haley among players promoted: Deayon cut, Latimer and Armstrong to IR

Giants shuffle roster

The New York Giants announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday.

As had been previously reported, the Giants confirmed adding undrafted free agent cornerback Grant Haley to the roster and waiving cornerback Donte Deayon. The moves did not, however, stop there.

The Giants placed wide receiver Cody Latimer (hamstring) and linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong (concussion) on injured reserve. They added free agent wide receiver Bennie Fowler, a fifth-year player who caught 29 passes for the Denver Broncos last season, and promoted linebacker Ukeme Ilegwe from the practice squad.

Rookie defensive end R.J. McIntosh, the team’s fifth-round pick, remains on the non-football illness list but is finally eligible to practice. The Giants return to practice Tuesday as they prepare for a Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons. We will see if McIntosh practices.

The Giants also added wide receiver/kick returner Kalif Raymond, defensive end Myles Humphrey and defensive back Ronald Zamort to their practice squad.
