2018 NFL Mock Draft roundup: For Giants, it’s all about the quarterbacks

Tags: giants mock rosen

Josh Rosen dominates the selections at No. 2

Quarterback is the overwhelming selection at No. 2 for the New York Giants in our latest mock draft roundup, and UCLA’s Josh Rosen is far and away the consensus selection.

Rosen is the choice in 16 of the 24 mocks currently in our tracker, 66.7 percent. USC quarterback Sam Darnold is the choice in six mocks (16.7 percent) and Penn State running back Saquon Barkley was chosen in two mocks (8.3 percent).

That is pretty much the breakdown we have come to expect. If Darnold goes to the Cleveland Browns at No. 1, most mock drafters give the Giants Rosen. If Darnold is available at No. 2, the common practice currently is to select him for the Giants. In the end, the draft could play out that way.

Walter Football, Draft Tek and Draft Wire offer seven-round mocks if you are interested in perusing them. NFL.com’s Chad Reuter offers a three-round mock in which he has the Giants selecting a punter in the third round.
