The Fantasy Football regular season is at the halfway mark, meaning some of us are on the brink of playoff elimination. Bye weeks, crucial injuries, and tough roster decisions are abound, so let’s get right to my week 7 starts/sits.

Starts

Carson Wentz, QB, PHI

It’s hard to argue that Wentz is not only a weekly QB1 in fantasy, but also maybe the best QB in the NFC East. The Redskins secondary poses little threat, and on MNF, I like Wentz to put up 300+ and 2-3 touchdowns.

Tyrod Taylor, QB, BUF

Taylor has disappointed YTD, but he has a get right opportunity at home coming off a bye against the lowly Bucs defense. Shady McCoy should get all he can handle, but I expect Tyrod to put up solid numbers in the air, and potentially blow up numbers on the ground.

Derrick Henry, RB, TEN

Henry legitimately looks like a defensive end running the football. With DeMarco Murray nursing a hamstring all season, Henry finally got even playing time on MNF, and didn’t disappoint. The Titans would be wise to give Murray a week or two of rest to heal up his gam, and let Henry run wild in his steed.

Bennie Fowler, WR, DEN

Manny Sanders turned his ankle and will miss mulitple weeks, leaving Fowler to handle slot duties. This is definitely a WR3 PPR dart throw, but I like his odds inside against the Chargers secondary.

Austin Hooper, TE, ATL

Somehow the greatest coach in NFL history has the worst secondary in the NFL, and it seems no end is in sight. Matt Ryan should find last season’s form temporarily in Foxboro, and Hooper should be a big beneficiary.

Sits

T.Y. Hilton, WR, IND

We got the “bad” T.Y. last week, and there’s really no expectation of consistency with Jacoby Brissett at the helm. Even though this is a home game, Hilton has to square off against the top cornerback duo in the league in Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye. If you have safer WR3 options this week, I’d seriously considering them over a risky Hilton.

Andy Dalton, QB, CIN

This is less about the Bengals offense and more about the Steelers defense, which is vastly improved from last year. I envision an exciting slugfest, AFC North style, but not a shootout.

Davante Adams, WR, GB

With the injury to Aaron Rodgers, it’s wait and see with the Packers offense. They really like Brett Hundley, and maybe he fills in nicely, but it’s too risky this early. I assume Jordy Nelson will get peppered with targets, but I’m shying away from all other Packers receivers.

Tarik Cohen, RB, CHI

Cohen has been a fun surprise as a rookie, but Jordan Howard has taken back bellcow duties, rendering Cohen a PPR Flex at best. The Panthers have the speed at linebacker to contain Cohen’s wiggle, and I think Howard gets 25+ touches to protect Trubisky from Mr. Julius Peppers. Pass.
