The Splash Zone 10/20/17: Matt Burke Proving He Was The Right Man For The Job

After the departure of Vance Joseph, Adam Gase already had his guy for the vacant defensive coordinator position. When Gase hired Joseph and Matt Burke, he knew Burke would take over the defense when Joseph left town. And so far, Burke’s defense has been impressive, compared to last season. In Joseph’s defense, the defense was really banged up last year. The most impressive stat for this defense is that they’re 4th against the run, compared to 30th last season.
