This weeks Thursday Night Football game features two Afc West teams, the 5 and 1 Kansas City Chiefs and the 2 and 4 Oakland Raiders. Oakland began the season considered by many to be one of the best teams in the NFL but they have struggled through the last four of the first six weeks of the season. Their season started out with back to back wins over the Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets. They then followed that up with four successive losses to the Washington Redskins, the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angles Chargers leaving them in 4th place in the AFC West.
The Chiefs have fared much better thus far this season than their division mates, leaving last weeks loss as the only blemish on their schedule thus far. Before dropping their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week they managed to rip off victories over the New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Chargers, the Redskins and the Houston Texans. Kansas City’s 5 and 1 record currently has them sitting in first place in the AFC West.
