Jarvis Landry on trade block? Who comes up with this?

What is happening?

Maybe it is just smokescreen season, but today, an absolutely crazy Idea seems to be floating around. Apparently, there is some talk, some where, some how, that the Miami Dolphins could put wide receiver Jarvis Landry on the trading block, in part in order to keep soon-to-be free agent Kenny Stills.

It appears this idea is coming from The Philadelphia Inquirer and Comcast Sportsnet reporter Jeff McLane, who said it on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia Monday Morning.

This is just a ridiculous idea. Landry, a second-round pick by Miami in 2014, has more receptions than any other player in league history through his first three seasons. He is a two-time Pro Bowl player and he is the spark that gets the offense going whenever it appears to be stalling. Landry is a favorite of the fans, of the players, and of the coaches.

The Dolphins would love to keep Stills, but he appears to be pricing himself out of Miami at this point. He is an explosive, big play receiver with incredible speed, and an offense can always use that, but Landry brings fight to the offense, he brings the sure-handedness to convert on third down, and he is not afraid to go over the middle. Landry loves to hit players, he loves contact, and he loves to block in the running game and for other receivers. He is everything you want in a receiver.

The idea that the Dolphins would choose Stills over Landry seems insane. Smokescreen season might be finally starting.
