Cosmina Popescu Athlete Ambassador

Cosmina is a cyclist who believes in the power of Yoga to improve cycling and running. She talks to Sundried about training and racing.

Have you always been into sport?

Yes, I started doing gymnastics at age 4 and continued until I was 14. Since then, Sport has always been a part of my life. It's the one thing, no matter if it's cycling or yoga or something else, that always makes me feel good and happy.

What's your proudest achievement?

Cycling in Devon from the north to the south coast, going through Dartmoor National Park.

How do you overcome setbacks?

I have a lot of willpower so I start to look at how I can improve or what's holding me back. If I can't progress, I tackle the "problem" with baby steps until I reach my goal.

What are your goals?

One of my goals is to inspire more women to get into cycling and more men to get into yoga, as I feel that the stretching element of yoga can help with any kind of sport. Yoga can counteract various cycling/running "issues".

Who do you take your inspiration from?

I don't have any one particular inspiration, I feel that everyone can teach you something.

What do you like about Sundried and what’s your favourite bit of our kit?

I like the concept and the idea of supporting a "small business" (when I'm saying this, I mean supporting someone's dream). I'm also very happy about the sustainability side of it, which I cannot wait to start promoting. I haven't tried them all to choose a favourite at this point, so will need to get back to this question, although at the moment I'd probably say the Stealth Jersey.
