Only one Eagles pick from the 2024 NFL Draft remains unsigned

Eight down, just one more to go.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Cooper DeJean to a standard four-year rookie contract on Monday, according to an official team announcement.

This news means the Eagles now have eight of their nine total picks from the 2024 NFL Draft under contract.

The players who’ve officially put pen to paper:

  • Cooper DeJean
  • Jalyx Hunt
  • Will Shipley
  • Ainias Smith
  • Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
  • Trevor Keegan
  • Johnny Wilson
  • Dylan McMahon

All of these players are eligible to participate in training camp practices that begin in late July.

DeJean, Hunt, Smith, Keegan, and McMahon were all seen hanging out at the Phillies game on Friday. Looked like a nice bonding experience:

Absent from that group was the only Eagles draft pick — their top selection this year — who remains unsigned:

  • Quinyon Mitchell.

Mitchell’s deal will notably include a fifth-year team option by nature of him being a first-round pick.

With plenty of time left to knock out some relatively routine paperwork before training camp begins, there’s no real need to worry about Mitchell signing. It’ll get done soon enough to round out the entire 2024 class.
